I can iron my own shirt.
I'm fully domesticated and I'm actually pretty good at it. (after over 10 years of intensive self-training and about a dozen burnt garbs, I better be!)
Last Friday I was ironing the shirt I'm planning to wear for our family's post-new year dinner party when Garandee asked me if I can also do her blouse while I'm at it.
Garando: "You mean this white one? Ok sure..."
Garandee: "Please be careful. Check to make sure that the iron's clean to prevent stains, carefully check the heat to avoid burning the fabric."
Garando: "Ok! No worries, you're looking at an expert."
Garandee: "Be very careful! That's very expensive!!"
Now hold on a second... How come whenever we'd go shopping then I'll see her with a shopping bag, before I can even say anything she's quick to tell me, "Wow! it's so cheap, it's such a bargain!!"
Now I'm about to iron it, it's suddenly "very expensive"?
I'm confuzed...
Garandee: "Because when I put it on it becomes very expensive! ...di ba?"
Garando: " ... " (slaps forehead)

Galing ni garandee! Yan ang fighting spirit! Actually, kahit sa Divisoria lang yan, pag nasuot ng tama, namumukha talagang mahal! :)
Hi kg! Tuwang tuwa si Garandee sa comment mo! "SHEMPRE!" daw. (one of the few tagalog words she knows). Hehe :D
hahaha in tagalog: "Sa nagdadala lang yan.hahaha" I guess u have to add this to ur certain list manong. #4. It's not the price that counts...it's who wears it that matters.hehehe Go garandee! also, we women sometimes have this rationalization: It's cheap when we super like it...ooops i slipped!hehe
hahaha...oo nga naman. Nasa Nagdadala yan. :)
Go Garandee...you go girl :)
Haha, this post made me laugh out loud, this is me too, in the office and I have stuffs, loads of stuffs to do!
Garandee is my new role model! I laughed so much I need to go to the loo...
heheh Garandee can make the simple ones look chic ;)...
Hi All,
Thanks for your comment, this is now Garandee's favorite post! Hmmm, no wonder she shops for my clothes now. I probably looked like a bargain the first time she met me. :D
would you believe i do the same line as garandee, every time my husband sees me i have bought some clothes? he has just merely looked at the shopping bag and i expertly go over the same "what a bargain..!" line. :D
Garando, you must be a fantastic bargain then. Garandee has good eyes. :D
Hahahahaha! Wala akong masabi. Magaling bumanat si Garandee.
@Ms Firefly
Thanks for dropping by! I tried using that line after Garandee saw the new TV in our room. Somehow it didn't work and I got into a lot of trouble. I guess it only works for ladies? :D
@AliceTeh
I guess it's a hit and a miss. There was one time she bought me this pink shirt that made me look like a gigolo.
@dyosa
Kaya nga dapat yata di matuto mag tagalog to eh. Lalo akong lalalag-lagin. :D
wahahaha! i use the same line with my hubby; "there was a sale at marui! this was such a steal!" waahahah!
@Caryn
LOL! Ok, now that proves that majority if not all the wifeys say the exact same thing to their hubbies! ...maybe except John McCains wife.
Hala, bistado na kayo! :D
Now Garandee gave me an idea...
@TPS
Hehe.. I guess it's never too late to join the club. :D
